Our Story - Midnight Worm Farm

Welcome to Soil Wrangler and the Midnight Worm Farm - where we work when the worms do, and the best ideas happen after midnight.
For over four decades, I tried to live like everyone else—up with the sun, working the standard hours, doing what the world called “normal.” But I’m not wired that way. I’m a night owl by nature. Always have been. And for years, I honestly fought it.
That changed when I started farming worms.
Turns out, worms do their best work at night. And so do I. Once I stopped trying to bend myself to daylight and started working in sync with my own rhythm, everything clicked. The stillness of midnight brought clarity, focus, and a surprising sense of peace. It’s when the ideas flow. It’s when the worms thrive. It’s when real work gets done.
So I built Midnight Worm Farm around that truth—mine and the worms’.
This isn’t just a business. It’s a way of life. We don’t rush. We don’t cut corners. And we don’t pretend to be something we’re not. We’re rooted in nature—especially the overlooked, underground kind. We believe that the best soil (and the best ideas) are built quietly, patiently, and sometimes, outside the 9-to-5.
🌱 What We Do
At Midnight Worm Farm, we focus on worm-powered soil solutions:
- High-quality worm castings for gardeners, growers, and soil nerds alike
- Specialty products like our “No Escape Worm Kit” for curious composters
- Biochar-enhanced blends to give your soil a supercharged boost
- Slow-grown, small-batch soil products made by hand (and worm)
Everything we offer is crafted with care, tested under moonlight, and made for those who understand that soil is everything.
💬 Why It Matters
Healthy soil isn’t just trendy. It’s timeless.
Worms have been quietly transforming ecosystems long before we showed up - and they’ll keep doing it long after we’re gone. We’re just here to support their mission. And maybe, finally, to work on their schedule instead of our own.
Charles Darwin once said about worms, “It may be doubted whether there are many other animals which have played so important a part in the history of the world as these lowly organized creatures.”
“But ask the animals, and they will teach you… speak to the earth, and it will teach you.” — Job 12:7–9
